Q. What does the Initiation Stage Cover?
When an applicant makes a decision to join AAS, a screening examination is given to assess the nurse’s knowledge in English and Nursing. Upon attaining the required passing scores, the applicant will be invited to sign an agreement with AAS. Once the agreement is signed, the applicant may begin utilizing educational programs offered by AAS.
Q. What does the Preparation Stage cover?
This stage includes sponsorship to sit for the IELTS and NCLEX examinations. The preparatory course offered by AAS for IELTS is 5 weeks in duration. AAS has two English instructors in each of our offices to provide intensive group and individual coaching. For NCLEX preparation, there are live classroom and modular learning programs to assist the applicant prepare for the licensing examination for RNs. AAS has two nursing instructors in each of their offices. The nursing program is supplemented by an intensive 5-day review, conducted by a US-based academician.
Q. What does the Visa Process Stage entail?
After an applicant has satisfied the credentials (IELTS and NCLEX) needed for immigration to the USA, a petition is filed in her behalf for an immigration visa. During this stage, our retained Immigration attorney assists in streamlining the visa-application process. The steps of the visa application process are: • Case initiation- AAS files for a petition for the nurse to immigrate to the USA. • Receipt Notice- This is a document issued by the USCIS confirming their receipt of the petition. This usually is received within 4-8 weeks from the time AAS files the petition. • Petition Approval- In this stage, the USCIS approves the petition for the applicant to immigrate to the USA. This generally takes anywhere from 90-485 days from the date the petition is filed. • National Visa Center (IV Fee Bill) -After the petition approval, the case is transferred to the National Visa Center. The visa fees for the applicant and her spouse will be paid by AAS. The visa fee for the applicant’s dependents will be the responsibility of the applicant. • Packet 3- Upon the receipt of payment of visa fees by the Visa Center which takes anywhere from 6-8 weeks, Packet 3 is issued. After completing the requirements set forth in this visa stage, the petition is now transferred to the US embassy in the locality the applicant resides. • US Embassy Interview: The US embassy schedules the beneficiary of the AAS petition for a medical examination and personal interview. This is dependent on the availability of visas in the quota category the petition was filed. • Granting of immigrant visa.
Q. What are the formalities for traveling to the USA?
A candidate who is issued a USA immigrant visa travels to the United States when the local AAS office has determined that all formalities to commence work have been completed. Generally, the candidate will fly to Florida where the main office is located. During the stay in Florida, the nurse will apply for a social security number, open a bank account, and undergo further training. Upon completion of these requirements, the nurse flies to her final destination, which is one of the many HCA hospitals in the United States. The accommodation in Florida is exclusive only to the nurse. Families are not accommodated in the AAS guest house.
Q. What is the total time for Visa Processing?
The issuance of an immigrant visa by the US is dependent on many factors and a specific time-frame could not be ascertained.
Q. What is IELTS and how can I apply?
IELTS is the acronym for International English Language Testing System. One of the requirements for US immigration is to pass the IELTS examination which is administered throughout the year in various venues internationally. The US immigration requires a 6.5 overall band score with a speaking band score of All About Staffing will assist you in taking this examination.
Q. What is CGFNS and how I can apply?
CGFNS is the acronym for the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools. The CGFNS conducts a nursing examination in several localities around the world at scheduled intervals. This examination is not a requirement in most states of the USA. However, a petition may be filed for a nurse who has a passing score in the CGFNS examination and an acceptable English examination score (IELTS, TOEFL). For applicants who have been successful in both the CGFNS and English examinations a CGFNS certificate is issued. This certificate entitles the nurse to be petitioned for immigration to the USA. However, the CGFNS certificate does not exempt the candidate in the NCLEX. An applicant who possesses a CGFNS certificate must sit for the NCLEX and obtain a passing mark in order to be deployed to the USA. Success in the NCLEX entitles the nurse to licensure as an RN.
Q. What is NCLEX and how I can apply?
NCLEX stands for Nursing Council Licensure Examination. The NCLEX is administered in the United States and selected international centers daily. The first step of the application process is to apply to a specific USA Board of Nursing (For example Vermont, Virginia, etc). After review of an applicant’s credential and the board’s determination that the foreign-based education is comparable to that of nursing education in the United States, the applicant is given approval by the board to appear for the licensure examination. This requires the candidate to apply to sit for the examination, which is administered by an independent entity (Pearson Vue). Pearson will then schedule the candidate to write the examination. The examination is a computerized adaptive test. Success in this examination entitles the US Board of Nursing (where the applicant filed) to issue a license to practice nursing in that state and confers the license Registered Nurse. All About Staffing will file the application in your behalf once you are accepted into the sponsorship program.
Q. When I Need to submit Finger Print card?
You need to submit the finger print card either at the time of filing application for state board of nursing or at the time of filing for endorsement.
Q. What is ICHP and how can I get it? You need to pass the Academic Module of IELTS (if CGFNS instructs the same, else not) with 6.5 overall, 7 in speaking. After passing the IELTS Academic Module, you need to forward your Test Result Format (T.R.F) to C.G.F.N.S in the below address.You have to forward the TRF to CGFNS by visiting the exam center of IELTS (where you have taken) and tell them to forward your IELTS TRF to the below address. They will charge you fee for this service. Keep a copy of the Receipt. AAS will refund you on arrival to U.S.A. Q. If I lost CGFNS/ICHP what shall I Do?
AAS will pay 100 USD to get the certificate for you. But if the certificate once issued and given to you and you have lost it, it would be your responsibility to arrange it.
Q. How do I get my IV fee bill paid?
AAS pays the IV Fee Bill for the candidate and Spouse. IV Fee Bill is 400 USD per head.In place of Spouse; Nurse- Applicant can go for child also. But this is important to note that AAS Pays IV Fee Bill only for 2 people.
Q. Define Relocation Bonus and its benefits?
Relocation Expenses to offset the cost of housing, airfare or other expenses incurred in connection with Employee’s relocation to the assigned work site.
Q. How can I place a Placement request for me?
Employee will submit any requests for job specific locations to the AAS India office prior to entering the packet 3 stage. Employee acknowledges that this request is not to be interpreted as a guarantee and is subject to job availability and job offer. Q. What are the criteria for employment? Continued work in an acute care hospital setting in a clinical area approved by All About Staffing, Inc. until departure to the U.S.A. is confirmed a minimum of twelve (12) months direct patient care experience until departure to the U.S.A. Employee agrees to the following conditions of employment: The Passing of the NCLEX-RN exam Obtaining the license in the state of proposed employment. Q. What type of Reimbursement’s I can apply for? Expenses (Application and Visa Expenses only) directly incurred by Nurse Applicant will be reimbursed to the Nurse Applicant upon arrival to the U.S. job site identified by Employer. Reimbursement will be dependent on the Nurse Applicant providing documented proof that he/she has taken the exam. Q. What are the bonus schemes?
